Vedic Astrology is a complex science no doubt – but it is a system of PATTERN RECOGNITION – one that you can learn in rather quickly if it is taught systematically— Jeffrey Armstrong is a master astrologer and by the end of the day you will be able to recognize famous people’s charts and those of your fellow particpants!

Vedic astrology is a spiritual science that deals with the manifestation of long-term cause and effect within matter.  It is the joining of the myriad of free will choices exercised by souls (atmas) through the laws of action and reaction within matter.  Simply put, Vedic astrology is about how we manifest within matter.  In exactly the same way that our bodies have an invisible genetic blueprint that determines the way they are shaped and formed, so our invisible past has shaped and continues to shape the way we appear in matter as represented by our horoscope.

And just as science has organized the periodic table of 106 atomic elements, so the ancient scientists understood that our manifestation within matter arises from the combination of various primal and original elements.  The ancient Bhutas, or elements, appear deceptively simple given that there are only five:  earth, water, fire, air and space.  Everything that exists in Nature can be described as some combination of these five states of matter, which can be described as the accommodating, the subtle, the burning, the liquid and the solid.
